-'Teach A Man To Fish' Cooking Classes-
My years as a Personal Chef taught me a few lessons and tricks of the trade. One lesson is most people who fall out of line with regards to a healthy eating plan, do so, because they don't have enough variety in their meals.
I will be conducting cooking classes to show you what I learned in those Personal Chef years to get the most bang for the buck and nutritional return on your investment.
Did you know that the average family of 4 disposes of $2,275 worth of groceries annually?
That's a lot of lettuce!
Managing your kitchen is a huge part of running a household but it doesn't have to be daunting.
Planning is the key to minimizing waste and stress.
Most people don't plan to fail, they simply fail to plan.
By planning to be spontaneous, meals can always be interesting.
By planning...impulse buys are kept to a minimum and the cost of running your kitchen is less.
These cooking classes will be themed to target a variety of nutritional needs and they will be fun!
Stay tuned...an Events Calendar will soon be available on this website. In the meantime, please feel free to call or email about upcoming events.
-Supporting Local Agriculture-
It is impossible to cook a meal without shopping....I will be organizing trips to Farmer's Markets and Produce Stands.
Meet the Farmer's who have nurtured their crops for us to have nutrient dense, living food.
This is a vitamin on your plate....This is where true healing begins.
We are so blessed in the Carolinas to have a plethora of farms and with those farms a spillage into Produce Stands.
As a member of Carolina Farm Stewards, I am committed to supporting local farmers so that they can continue to take care of us.
I will also be organizing Farm Tours through this non-profit organization twice a year.
Fun and educational for the whole family!
Remember...it's only fresh if it's local AND seasonal!
It was amazing and I can still remember the taste of the chicken and orzo, yummmm. Marion was sad he missed it LOL! Thank you Sylvia Anton for sharing your gifts and talents with others-especially University Heartlink Network!
- Nancy White, University Heartlink Coordinator, Charlotte NC
Sylvia, thank you for the fabulous food you provided for my house blessing/house warming party. Your choice of delicious finger foods and dips worked well for the occasion. You are a lifesaver and I could not have done it without you. The thing I liked the most was the presentation of the food with various colors and textures. Thank you again.
- Patrick Taylor, Client
