-'Teach A Man To Fish' Cooking Classes-
My years as a Personal Chef taught me a few lessons and tricks of the trade. One lesson is most people who fall out of line with regards to a healthy eating plan, do so, because they don't have enough variety in their meals.
I will be conducting cooking classes to show you what I learned in those Personal Chef years to get the most bang for the buck and nutritional return on your investment.
Did you know that the average family of 4 disposes of $2,275 worth of groceries annually? That's a lot of lettuce!
Managing your kitchen is a huge part of running a household but it doesn't have to be daunting. Planning is the key to minimizing waste and stress.
Most people don't plan to fail, they simply fail to plan.
By planning to be spontaneous, meals can always be interesting.
By planning...impulse buys are kept to a minimum and the overall cost of running your kitchen is less.
These cooking classes will be themed to target a variety of nutritional needs and they will be fun! These Group Cooking Classes will be available sometime in 2018 so please bear with us while we work out the logistics.
Currently I am offering Private Cooking Classes in the client's home.
$189 1 person
$289 2 people
Each package includes a Grocery Store Tour(see below description).
Cost of groceries are not included.
The Cooking Class is customized specifically for you which we will discuss during a brief consultation as we coordinate the details.
We will prep and cook 2 recipes in your home. Recipes included.
Ask about the Groupon opportunity available soon if booked through 2017.
-Supporting Local Agriculture-
I will be organizing trips to Farmer's Markets and Produce Stands.
Meet the Farmer's who have nurtured their crops for us to have nutrient dense, living food. A vitamin on your plate is where true healing begins.
-Farmer's Market/Grocery Store Tours-
We begin at 9:00 a.m. when most Farmer's Markets and Produce Stands open to get the best selections of everything then move onto the Grocery Store where we can fill in the blanks.
The entire tour includes 1 Farmer's Market or Produce Stand + 1 Grocery Store Tour. This should take between 2-3 hours so plan to commit.
You will learn what questions to ask, what is important to read on a food label, what to stay away from, how to plan your weekly menu without overbuying to avoid waste, stocking your pantry including spices and how to maximize freshness in your fridge.
$99 individual tour
$40 per person for group tours/3 person minimum
-Carolina Farm Tours-
As a member of Carolina Farm Stewards, I am committed to supporting local farmers so that they can continue to support us.
I will also be organizing Farm Tours through this non-profit organization twice a year....April and September. I will post pricing at the beginning of 2018.
Fun and educational for the whole family!
Remember...it's only fresh if it's local AND seasonal!
I just wanted to commend you on how outstanding the shrimp & avocado Pico de Gallo was today! The flavors were so fresh, savory and delicious! I enjoyed every last bite! I look forward to being able to share these incredible flavors with my family & friends! Thank you again!
- Sincerely, Leo Rodriguez Goyco
Sylvia Anton with The Holistic Garden has been coaching me for a year about adequate supplementation to my meal plan.
After assessing my current health, during a Health History Assessment, recommendations were made to assist me in providing the most effective solution(s) while taking into consideration my lifestyle and what comfortably fits into my schedule so that I can continue to commit the progression of my own health to myself.
Over the past year this is the only change I have made so there is no doubt in my mind, my improved blood work is due to the supplements Sylvia has recommended along with her careful guidance.
Thank you, Sylvia, for your Health Coaching, guidance and care.
